Historical Røndegaard

At a retreat at Røndegaard you can feel the rush of the history of Denmark. As soon as you drive into the old cobbled courtyard, one can sense how time must have been when Bertholine and Knud Roende let Røndegaard build in the years around 1850. Here we have used materials such as boulders and timberframe. In 1879 they built the new farmhouse of red brick and slate.

Wine Growing at Røndegaard 

It has become to about 300 vines, and every year at the beginning of October we invite friends to help out with the grape harvest.
Some years, where the harvest has been of very moderate nature we have purchased a mobile apple pressing plant, to fill the rest of the day off with an activity other than wine cropping!
